Warm Weather Wines

Primeur principle #2: drink seasonally. You might be stuck at home, but that can’t keep Spring at bay. These are wines to drink on the porch on a warm evening.

Wines for now, wines for later.

Our focus is on introducing you to the great wines of the world at great prices. Some of these are wines to open tomorrow while watching Netflix on the couch, others should be stashed in a cool, dark place for a future birthday or anniversary dinner. Whatever the occasion, our love of wine is driven in large part by it’s ability to take all of life’s moments and make them just a little bit better.

Will Patterson

Nothing makes Will happier than finding an outrageous value on a restaurant wine list. His fanatical love of wine and the hunt for great bottles was inherited from his dad, but has taken on a life of its own as he has consumed every wine book, podcast and documentary in sight. This insatiable curiosity drives him in his quest to create great wine experiences for Primeur customers. Will likes to think that he represents the next generation of wine drinkers, but his favorites wines come from old school producers in old world regions like the Rhone, Burgundy and Piedmont. Closer to home, he can be found riding his bike past the great vineyards of the Santa Cruz Mountains (and stopping to taste whenever possible).

Sven Beer

Sven’s wine story follows the common format in which a single eye-opening bottle changes your perspective on wine forever. On his 21st birthday, Will opened a 21 year old bottle of red Burgundy and it showed him that great things could happen if you didn’t always pull the cork within 8 hours of purchase. Sven spent a few years on Wall Street where he got exposure to great wines at some of New York’s best restaurants, but he always found himself gravitating to the Sonoma wines that reminded him of home. Eventually the pull of Northern California brought him back, but Sven still brings his Wall Street bullishness to smashing any and all operational barriers in the way of bringing you great wine.
